UK ID cards

Recently the UK parliament has been pushing forward the notion that a country wide ID card would be a well accepted panacea.
Many of our American concerns are shared by the UK. Their solutions are viewed as a little simpler than our "WAR WITH THE WORLD" plan though. They have outlandish ideas and are pushing forward legislation to make a nationwide ID card. Some believe that a new ID card will stop "Clandestine entry and working in this country, the misuse of free public services, the issues around organized crime and terrorism".

Their survey have been rather limited in breadth, and despite results from larger public surveys opposing the new idea they are choosing to ignore the data they are disinterested in...

Many people tell me I am crazy, but my general philosophy is that if we did not walk on third world countries and control their policies with obsessive debt load we would probably have less problems in our own country...
