Colin Farrell Rehabs

Farrell reportedly checked himself into an undisclosed rehab facility to deal with exhaustion and a dependency on prescription painkillers. His publicist, Danica Smith, released a written statement Monday stating that Farrell was prescribed the medication after injuring his back. The statement also said, "No other comments to be made at this time." Since bursting on the scene, Farrell has been known as a wild man known for his penchant for drinking and women. He and on-again-off-again girlfriend Kim Bordenave welcomed their first child in September 2003. Since becoming a father to little James, it was reported that Farrell was "calming down" a bit.

This has been a rough year for the actor. In April, Former sex chat line worker Dessarae Bradford sued Farrell for "mental anguish" claiming he "degraded" her and sent her upwards of 500 filthy test messages since September. Bradford claimed the actor stalked her and used her to pour out his unhappiness. Farrell claimed to have never met the woman and was cleared of all charges, but Bradford is reportedly forging ahead with a "tell all" book about the actor and their alleged relationship.

Then in July, he successfully, blocked ex-girlfriend Playboy playmate Nicole Narian from distributing a 15-minute video of the two of them doing the mattress mambo. Now comes the news that he is in rehab. Well, Colin, the year is almost over…maybe 2006 will prove to be a better year for you! Farrell can be seen in the upcoming saga The New World and has just wrapped filming on the big screen version of Miami Vice where he channels Don Johnson’s Sonny Crockett.
