Paul McCartney Touched by John Lennon Tribute

Ex-Beatle John Lennon, who was murdered by a troubled fan on December 8, 1980, was honored in various manners all over the world on the 20th anniversary of his death, leading to some touching moments that no doubt affected McCartney. Paul, known as the "cute one" during his stint with the most popular band in Rock 'n Roll history, will launch a remembrance year for Linda as well as a 3-hour television special about "Wings," a band he formed after the Beatles broke up. The TV special will also highlight Linda's involvement with that band, which marked the beginning of a music career for the blonde-haired girl from New York.

Paul has gone to great lengths to keep alive the memory of his late wife and is currently searching for galleries in which to display Linda's photography before they are circulated around the world on a special tour. Further efforts include two books, one of which features Linda's photography and the second of which details projects that the two worked on together during their marriage. Paul has also donated in excess of $500,000 to various organizations devoted to the welfare of animals and is keeping tabs on the profitable venture that resulted from Linda's line of vegetarian food.

McCartney, who is currently involved with Heather Mills, has received great support from the ex-model for all his plans.
