Whitney Houston Cries Abuse

It was reported that Whitney Houston had to call police after a fight with her husband. Fulton County Police spokesman Kurtis Young said that officers responded to a call to the Atlanta home of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown on Sunday night. When officers arrived on the scene they found Houston with a bruised cheek and a cut upper lip. Houston told officers that Brown had struck her in the face during an altercation. Reportedly, by the time the police arrived at the house, Brown had headed to the airport to catch a flight to California. Police are trying to get in touch with him to get his side of the story and are still considering whether to pursue the domestic abuse charges.

Whitney shocked the world when she married bad boy Bobby Brown in July 1992. It has not been an easy road for the parents of ten-year old daughter Bobbi Kristina. There was a reported separation in July 1998, an allegation the couple has denied. Whitney has always supported her husband and their relationship. Brown has been in and out of jail and Whitney has battled reports of major drug abuse. There have been rumors of his repeated infidelity and suspected mental and physical abuse.

During a recent interview with Diane Sawyer, when questioned about her alleged drug abuse, Houston said "having sex with my husband is a drug." During the interview, Brown came into the room to watch. Houston seemed to look to him before answering. Scared? Maybe this latest "altercation" wasn’t the first time things got physical! Whitney has always stood by her man, but with this latest antic one has to wonder how much longer she can hang in there!
