It was reported that Moss convinced Doherty, a self-confessed drug user, to enter into rehab to kick his drug habit so they could spend Christmas with her three-year old daughter, Lila Grace. Doherty, lead singer of Babyshambles, checked into the same Arizona rehab clinic that Moss entered in September after photos of her allegedly snorting cocaine were published. Doherty lasted a week, checked himself out, and was arrested the day after he left rehab. A source close to Moss said, "Kate is absolutely fuming. She’s hoped they could spend Christmas together. As long as Pete is a user she will refuse to see him."

Doherty, 26, was pulled over on Wednesday in London on suspicion of drunken driving. He was then arrested for allegedly possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police reportedly found what looked like crack cocaine and a crack pipe in his car. He was taken to the police station and subsequently released on bail. He is due in court next month and faces seven years in prison if convicted of the latest drug charges.

Doherty said in an interview that he was surprise Moss made it through rehab because she had a huge cocaine habit. Said Doherty, "With the amount of coke Kate was taking, it’s amazing she made it through rehab. I was bored senseless. It was like a prison." He also claims that Moss didn’t go to rehab to save her life and get off drugs, she went to salvage her career. He said, "Everyone believes she went in there to beat her cocaine addiction. That’s wrong. She did it to save her career. She is terrified of her will power failing."
