He's back!

People might say they don't want him to return, but deep down everyone is glad Michael Jordan is back.
Okay, let's face it. People like the fact that Michael Jordan is back.

People can say they don't want him back all they can, but the fact of the matter is, he brings something extra to the game of basketball that no one else does.

Sure, new players like Vince Carter and Kobe Bryant might bring some much-needed flare and athleticism, but they will never make an impact like MJ has.

They'll never start a fad, like wearing long baggy shorts, or run down the court after a dunk with their tongue hanging out.

Don't get me wrong, Vince and Kobe are awesome, but they're not Mike. They might have the ability to take over a game, both offensively and defensively. They might be able to shake guys just as well, if not better.

They might have more physical talent than Mike did in his prime, being able to jump higher and dunk a ball more ways.

They might be better pure shooters than Mike, with better field goal percentages.

They might be as good or better in all those different ways, and it still wouldn't matter.

They still won't be as good as Jordan, and there's only one reason. They don't have what he has upstairs.

What I would pay to go inside the mind of Jofdan would be unbelievable. To see what he's thinking would be a life-changing experience for anyone.

Ultimately, other athletes might have more physical talent than Michael (and not much if they do), but no one will ever have his determination.

That will to succeed and be the best is what has made Jordan the greatest professional athlete of all time.

Great athletes like Ronnie Lott, Jerry Rice and Nolan Ryan have all be quoted as attributing their success to their willpower, and wanting to be better than anyone else.

That will to succeed is what made them run the extra 40-yard dashes after practice while the rest of the team was in the shower.

That will to succeed is what made them shoot extra free throws while the rest of the team was out enjoying a night on the town.

That will to succeed is what made them wake up early to take extra batting practice, while the rest of the team was still sleeping.

And that will to succeed is what made Michael Jordan into the Michael Jordan that we all know.

Jordan is definitely not as physically talented as he was when he won six championships and five MVPs with the Bulls, and he knows that.

Everyone else knows it too.

But, that doesn't matter, because what separated him from the rest before is what will get him back to the top this time.

The Wizards won't win the championship this year, and they might not make the playoffs either, and that doesn't matter either. Why? Because MJ will still prove why he's the greatest athlete of all time.
