Pats take round one from Bills, 38 - 7

The Pats bounce back into the win column with an emotional win, but it was neither Brady nor Bledsoe who was the "x-factor" in this game. See who it was as Sinista1 reviews the game.
If any fantasy football GM out there has Bills K Mike Hollis... I feel your pain.

Last week I blasted the Patriots about their play, coaching and discipline, but just because they beat the Bills doesn't mean I'm letting up. The win is a positive note, but there are two major things we can't overlook.

1. December 8th: The Bills will roll into Foxboro with their feelings hurt, but playing a softer schedule. I expect this game to have playoff contentions written all over it.

2. The Bills had no defense: Let's see if the same game plan will work next weekend against the Bears. To be honest the Bears are pretty banged up in the secondary, so I'm hoping to see the Pats air it out as they should've done with Green Bay.

The P-Men went into hostile territory and picked up a win against their former teammate, QB Drew Bledsoe. Now while the focus of the game was Tom Brady vs. Bledsoe, there was an x-factor that played in this match up last year, and had another effect this year with RB Antowain Smith (111 yards rushing and three TD's). The former Bill once again ran through the Buffalo defense.

This victory was definitely something to build on as the Pats looked like the team from the first two weeks of the season. They moved the ball and Brady completed the passes when needed. But, a key aspect to this game was one of the things I talked about over the past few weeks, and that was the TE spot producing. Today, TEs Daniel Graham, Cam Cleeland and Christan Fauria combined for 79 yards. This makes it hard for the defense, and it shows with Brady making passes to WR Troy Brown and David Patten for a combined 126 yards, while the RBs, Kevin Faulk, Marc Edwards and Smith, combined for 105 yards.

The defense also came to play, with CB Otis Smith redeeming himself with a great play near the end zone, while Ted Johnson, Willie McGinest, Richard Seymour and Mike Vrabel all logged in sacks for the day and defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel brought back the pass rush.

Safety Tebucky Jones maybe taking a hit to the pocket with his clothesline take down late in the fourth. While again, my favorite SS Lawyer Milloy was once again quiet with only two tackles and two assists.

As for the coaching staff this week... Offensive Coordinator Charlie Weis and Bill Belichick put together a great game plan keeping the Bills and the fans out of this game early. But, as I warn everyone again... this is the defenseless Bills, and doesn't mean squat if they can't roll another win out in Chicago next week -- a game I had predicted the Pats to lose at the hands of Brian Urlacher.
