Reflections On A Winter's Day

Hope is one of life's true treasures...
Reflections On A Winter's Day
I sit alone, gazing at bleak winter

through the frosty panes.. reflecting

on life’s deceptive music

and loves betrayals

A pas de deux

En pointe

around such a treacherous world

How do we live

in such a time

where even loves music is misheard

by those we hold most dear?

my thoughts .. restlessly run on and on.....

images of war and famine,

death and deception,

knit in tangled skeins of despair

Sitting alone.. reflecting

there comes a moment..
when...

a clean liquid shaft of gold,

singing of hope and love

Illumines crystalline winter's

cold chill heart.

In that one brief moment

love held closed,

opens like a newly budded rose

and loves laughter

is heard once more
