Corey Feldman Wed by MC Hammer
MC Hammer married actor Corey Feldman and girlfriend Susie Sprague on the set of Feldman’s new TV series The Surreal Life.
Feldman, 31, and Sprague, 20, met nine months ago at a nightclub and were married October 30 on the set of Feldman’s new series, The Surreal Life, by rabbi and rapper turned ordained minister, MC Hammer. Hammer also stars on The Surreal Life. Per publicist Lori De Waal, the couple plans a Tahitian honeymoon next month.
The Surreal Life is a new reality series set to air on the WB network in January. The show will "star" Feldman, Hammer, former child stars Emmanuel Lewis ("Webster") and Mindy Cohn ("Facts of Life"), and other semi-celebs living in a house for two weeks in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley. The show is reminiscent of The Real World or Big Brother in the fact that they will follow their daily activities sharing a bathroom, kitchen and performing chores. The idea for the show came about from the Lipton Sizzle & Stir commercials featuring an unlikely household of celebrities functioning under one roof. Producer Mark Cronin of Midless Entertainment, which is producing The Surreal Life, likens the show to a sitcom.
Feldman, who has starred in over 30 films, was married briefly to actress Vanessa Marcil in 1989. He was a hot commodity in the 80’s, starring in a number of coming-of-age-films. He starred in numerous films with fellow Corey, Corey Haim. Feldman descended into a life of drugs, but has since turned his life around and has been focusing on his movie and music career. The Surreal Life sure seems like a good bet to superstardom - good choice Corey. If that doesn’t work, maybe the center square on Hollywood Squares is open…just something to think about.
