Billy Crudup Splits From Parker

Reportedly Crudup walked out on his live-in lover, Parker, late last week. Now the rumors are flying that he split from a seven-month pregnant Parker because he has fallen in love with his co-star, Claire Danes. The two are starring together in the historical flick Complete Female Stage Beauty. An insider on the film says that Crudup and Danes have been friends for years, but during filming Crudup fell in love with his co-star and they began a romance that ultimately destroyed his seven-year relationship with Parker.

Both camps deny any romance between the two actors, but a source close to the couple says that they are friends. Danes rep said that she and Crudup "have been friends for ten years [and] they are not romantically involved." Crudup’s rep backs that up with, "They’re not dating. They’re old friends." The standard Hollywood line!

Crudup and Parker met in 1996 while co-starring in the stage resurgence of Bus Stop. They seemed to have what it takes to make it in Hollywood. They were doing the Goldie Hawn-Kurt Russell thing where not being married in Hollywood seemed to work, but apparently it doesn’t work for everyone. Crudup’s reps did confirm the split from Parker but also said there was no one else involved in the split. Apparently, Danes and her boyfriend of six-years, Ben Lee, have split for good. It seems she may be ready to take her relationship with Crudup to a different level. One has to wonder whether or not a man who leaves his pregnant girlfriend is worth the trouble!
