The Sixers have not been known for their overpowering dominance in the league thus far.
Last season, it took two Game 7 wins in the playoffs to advance them to the Finals.
They are a team without a true starting lineup because there is no telling who will be hurt or what new player is going to come in.
Point blank, they aren't as talented as many of the other teams in the league.
Philly started this season a treacherous 0-5, but now, the 76ers are on fire, winners of six straight to get to .500. Quite frankly, Allen Iverson is the man who has them back in the swing of things.
But one look at Iverson's statistics raises the question, "How?" He is shooting just 33 percent and has hit only one three-pointer in his first six games. He has turned the ball over almost four and a half times per game since his return, and basically has played poorly.
Or has he? Can anybody say that Iverson, league MVP, is playing poorly, when the fact of the matter is, he is in the lineup and his team is winning? When he is averaging 5.4 assists per game? When he is averaging three steals per game and playing some of the best defense of his career?
Has Iverson brought more than mere statistics? Has the energy returned to those in 76ers uniforms? Certainly.
The Sixers are pumped. It may not be the 10-0 start they had last season, but by the same token, it's a far cry from the 0-10 start they were looking at.
And finally, the 76ers have come back as possibly the most fun team to watch.
