Britney Spears & Kevin Federline Do New York

The couple has been spotted all over the Big Apple looking "very lovey-dovey." Sources say that the birth of their son, Sean Preston, has put a major strain on their marriage and the two are desperate to patch things up. Recently it was reported that Spears had kicked K. Fed out of the house due to his constant partying. Now it seems that they are trying to put their lives back in order and were spotted around New York looking very much the loving couple while taking in all the sites. But there have been rumblings that the trip to New York may have had a business angle to it.

Reportedly, Spears is in "serious negotiations" to possibly take over the lead role in the Broadway production of Sweet Charity. Spears and hubby went and watched the show, which is currently starring Christina Applegate, last week. It was also reported that if Spears agrees to do the show, Federline could be appearing alongside of her on stage. Said a source, "He’d be a dancer in the show. The producers really want Britney and will do anything to make this happen." Aww…how sweet! Rumor has it they can barely live together, but maybe they’ll have better luck working together!

In other K-Fed news, he was recently named one of GQ’s Men of the Year leaving many people scratching their heads. Dubbed the "American Husband: Trophy Edition" the magazine reportedly asked if there was one household chore at which he excelled. Federline’s retort was, "Pressing the TV buttons. Yeah, dude. That’s like the number one thing." He also proved how charming he really is when asked if he ever surprises his pop tart with flowers. Federline said, "Oh yeah! I’ll call up the [bleeping] florist before I get a hotel room for us and have them stock it with flowers and a card saying something. You’ve got to keep it interesting, man." When asked why he feels he was selected as a Man of the Year, K-Fed replied, "Because I’m Daddy, dude. I’m Daddy. [Bleep], that’s pretty much it." Yeah, Feddy, [bleep] that’s pretty much it…
