Terminator II Star, Eddie Furlong Cleans Up His Act
Eddie Furlong, who as a young man starred with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton in Terminator II, has given up his wild lifestyle.
Furlong, who played a young John Connor in the 1991 blockbuster, is now preparing for Terminator III. As part of that preparation, the troubled young man has spent the past month in rehabilitation for alcohol and drug addiction. Shortly after his release from the program, he was back on the party scene with girlfriend Paris Hilton. It has been reported that the couple attended a bash for Conde Nast's new magazine Lucky, but that Furlong admirably chose to stay away from the bar and to leave early.
Among the late-night revelers at the gala event were Stephen Dorff, Milla Jovovich, and Tara Reid. Those who are close to the young actor expressed relief that Furlong had sought help and noted that he has been doing quite well since entering rehab. That move was perhaps precipitated by an incident in which Furlong vomited on the bar at a Manhattan night club while attending a birthday party for John Mosely.
Hilton has been supportive throughout the treatment, but was spotted recently with Oscar De La Hoya and reportedly engaged in some "extra-curricular activity" with the boxer in his limousine. It has been reported, though in hushed tones, that Hilton is still seeing De La Hoya in secret.
Meanwhile, De La Hoya is in the news for more than just hooking up with Hilton, who is now working on a pop album in L.A. De La Hoya is suing his ex-girlfriend Shanna Moakler, of Pacific Blue, for over $500,000 in damages. He is also seeking a court order to force her from his Santa Monica home, which she has steadfastly refused to leave despite the fact that the two ended their relationship over four months ago.
