Diaz, Timberlake Sued

The altercation occurred after Diaz and Timberlake left the Chateau Marmont on November 6. The lawsuit claims that Diaz hit one of the paparazzo and stole his camera while Timberlake taunted the photographers as they fled the scene. The lawsuit was filed on Friday. Diaz and Timberlake issued a joint statement two days prior to the lawsuit being filed claiming they acted in self-defense.

The lawsuit was filed by Saul Lazo and Jose Gonzalez and seeks unspecified damages. Los Angeles police are investigating the case to sort out the details. Lazo and Gonzalez claim they were "just doing their job" and taking pictures of the rich and famous when Diaz snapped. Lazo reported that she lunged at him, hit him, and took his camera. Diaz and Timberlake say they were "acting in self-defense" when Lazo and Gonzalez jumped out at them from a "concealed hiding place." Diaz did admit to taking Lazo’s camera and insisted she was "collecting evidence."

Will there ever be any harmony between the famous and the paparazzi? Probably not, but the fact is that they need to somehow try to co-exist. It must be frustrating for celebs to be surrounded by flashing cameras everywhere they go, but chances are they dreamed of being famous since their childhood. They knew what they were getting into! Money and fame come with a price. Paparazzi go with the territory, so get used to it. Sure it must get annoying, but this is the life they choose to lead.
