Kidman and fellow Australian Urban have reportedly been dating since July. Even though the two have been saying that they are only friends for months, the two have been seen together on numerous occasions looking more than friendly. Kidman and Urban met in January at a banquet honoring distinguished Australians in Los Angeles. They began dating that summer and have been spending as much time together as their schedule permit. Urban joined Kidman late last month in Washington, D.C. on the set of her new film The Visiting, and a source said this is when he proposed.
Urban was named Entertainer of the Year on Tuesday at the Country Music Association awards and when asked about his relationship with Kidman said, "I think every one of us has things we want to keep to ourselves. Things we want to keep sacred." There has been no official word from Kidman's camp, but Urban's spokesperson said of the engagement rumblings, "Right now, it's just a rumor. When and if there's a statement we'll make that public."
The couple, both 38, has been spotted sharing many meals and exploring the countryside together. Kidman has even been supporting Urban on his "Keith's Alive in '05" tour. Said an onlooker, "They were inseparable. It was obvious something is there - a lot more than a friend situation. You could see something real special was going on between them." If they do make it official, perhaps little Urban's will follow. Kidman has been very vocal about having children. She and ex-hubby Tom Cruise have two adopted children. Kidman said in an interview, "I would love to have a baby next, that would be a lovely thing. I have got hormones running through system. That is why I sit wriggling saying I want to have a baby."
