Desperate Housewives actor Page Kennedy slams rumors that he was fired for "improper conduct" on the set, saying his contract was bought out.

Kennedy was recently let go from his contract for "improper conduct" on the set of the hit shows. Despite initial reports that the "alleged misconduct" did not involve another cast member, it was later alleged that Kennedy flashed two female co-workers. Kennedy spoke out against those rumors on Tuesday saying, "There are a lot of stories that have been told, but the truth of the matter is that Touchstone decided to go in a different direction and they bought out my contract. Anything you’ve heard that’s contrary is all false." So basically he is saying the statement released by the show is completely fabricated.
Kennedy, 28, called the flasher rumors "crushing" and "damaging." He said, "The analogy I use is you’re driving home from work, and the police stop you and arrest you and say you fit the profile of someone who just murdered somebody. You go through the whole trial process, and the witnesses are sitting there telling the jury that you did it, and you have no idea what they’re even talking about. You were just coming home from work." According to the show’s publicist, Janet Daily, "a thorough investigation by the studio of the allegations against him" led to him being canned.
Kennedy played the part of Caleb, the man being held captive in Betty’s basement. The role of Caleb was recently recast with newcomer Nashawn Kearse. Hopefully, there won’t be any "improper conduct" on Kearse’s part. As for Kennedy, he is trying to maintain his reputation. He said, "The challenge I have right now is trying to get the truth out as aggressively as they got the rumors out. That’s the problem. If the truth isn’t as juicy as the rumors, who cares? That’s what sucks." He continued, "I feel like my life will be looked at under a microscope now, Anything that I do or am perceived to do will make news." Kennedy is set to appear in a number of upcoming projects including appearing in the new Usher film In the Mix out later this month and will appear in an episode of Boston Legal. He shouldn’t worry too much; pretty soon another scandal will dominate the headlines and people will be asking, "Page who?"
