Elizabeth Hurley’s Expecting

Elizabeth Hurley is the latest superstar to announce her pregnancy, although hers may not have been as expected as some of the others. On November 8th, her publicist announced that Hurley and American movie producer Bing are expecting their first child in April. They were together for about a year, but sources close to the couple say they are not as close as they were a few months ago. It is not expected that the couple will marry and raise the child together. This will be the first child for Hurley.

Hurley - an actor, model and producer - has been the face of Estee Lauder cosmetics and perfumes since 1995. She has also starred in numerous films, including Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Bedazzled, and Ed TV. She dated actor Hugh Grant for 13 years and was thrust into the limelight when he was caught in a car with Hollywood prostitute Divine Brown. Hurley and Grant remained together during the media circus that followed that embarrassing event and the couple also formed the Production Company, Simian Films. Hurley and Grant broke up about a year and a half ago, but they remain on friendly terms and still work together. The two remain close and he was seen visiting her house hours after the announcement of her pregnancy.

If things develop as expected and Stephen Bing is not the full-time father of Liz’s child, we may look for Hugh to step in and assume that role, especially considering the closeness of his relationship with Hurley. Either way, the best part of the story is surely yet to come.
