Katie Holmes to Quit Acting

Is Katie Holmes turning her back on her acting career? A source said, "Katie has decided to giver up acting altogether. She’s been telling friends that she and Tom have decided it is best she stays at home and brings up their baby. Her decision is raising a lot of eyebrows in Hollywood. She is at the perfect age for so many screen roles and has completely closed the door on a promising career." Oh, so she and Tom thought it best that she quits her acting career to raise their family. Tom is already a veteran in the land of Hollywood and Katie is just a newcomer. That seems like a really great idea just to throw all that away and become a happy homemaker.

Cruise and Holmes first announced their relationship back in April. Just last month it was announced that, even though she swore to remain a virgin until after she was married, Holmes was pregnant with the couple’s first child. There has been a lot of speculation over the size of the bump she is sporting these days and when she actually got pregnant and how. Some sources claim that the Cruise-Holmes romance is all smoke and mirrors and that Holmes was artificially inseminated claims that her camp has slammed. There have also been reports that she looks way more pregnant than they are claiming to be.

A few weeks ago it was reported that before tying the knot Holmes is demanding a pre-nuptial agreement guaranteeing her millions if their love goes sour. She allegedly refuses to say,"I do" until the agreement is signed securing her and her unborn child’s future. She has put her father, Martin, in charge of the negotiations and it has been reported that he is "playing hardball with the negotiations." Sources have said that Daddy Holmes is less than please with the fact that his daughter is carrying a child out of wedlock and it has been suggested that he is not a fan of Cruise’s, so no doubt he is doing everything he can to ensure his daughters financial future is taken care of. Especially now with the rumors that she is thinking of giving up her career. It was reported that the pre-nup will reportedly include a clause that if the marriage ends within five years, Holmes will get a "payment of millions." Hollywood chances are that it will, so she should be set!
