Dawson’s Creek Star, Joshua Jackson, Arrested
Dawson’s Creek star, Joshua Jackson, was arrested over the weekend for allegedly drunkenly assaulting a security guard at a hockey game.
Joshua Jackson, who plays Pacey Witter on Dawson’s Creek, was arrested over the weekend for allegedly drunkenly assaulting a security guard Saturday night at a hockey game between the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins. Jackson, 24, and a Dawson’s crew member apparently got a little rowdy during the game and Jackson grabbed a security guard, Drew Grissom, around the neck and started "throwing punches." Jackson was promptly arrested, thrown in jail and his blood alcohol level registered at 0.14. He posted $1,000 bail Sunday morning.
Jackson’s camp had no comment. According to a transcript of his behavior while incarcerated, Jackson was making a "ruckus" in his jail cell, refused a voluntary blood-alcohol test, antagonized the arresting officer, asked how to file a "complaint of improper treatment by the police," and said he would have trouble coming up with the $1,000 bail. Maybe he thought he was Pacey on an episode of the Creek or he thinks he is above the law since he is a star. With the recent antics of the young and famous it is no surprise to see yet another young star facing the law.
Jackson’s accomplice was Terry Long, a 38-year old crew member on Dawson’s Creek. He told the police he jumped into the mix after Jackson jumped the security guard. Long was arrested and charged with being intoxicated, disruptive and of possessing marijuana/drug paraphernalia. Long still remains jailed. Jackson is set to face a misdemeanor assault charge in Wake County District Court on December 4.
