McGwire -- Out of the ballpark
Here's the 3-2 pitch -- Mark McGwire swings and drives it deep to left field -- and it's gone! As of today, the only thing mentioned about McGwire was that -- he is gone!

Yeah, this is what we are all used to hearing. As of today, the only thing mentioned about McGwire was that -- he is gone!
Let me tell you I am the first one to applaud this move. I am sick and tired of Mark McGwire and his gum chewing, creotine taking self.
Perhaps this is a result of my admiration of Sammy Sosa who has now become the first Major Leaguer to hit 60 or more home runs in three consecutive seasons. Maybe it is because I am not a real Cardinals' fan. Whatever it may be, I just think that after playing since 1986 it was time for McGwire to step aside and let Slammin' Sammy Sosa do his thing.
What about Bonds? Let's just say -- never again! He only had the type of year he had because he wanted to make more money in the free agent market.
It is Sammy's turn now. My prediction is that he is going to hit another 60 home runs this coming season. I think if anyone is going to do it, it will be Sammy Sosa.
