Lighthouses down Argentina

Have you ever dreamed of a trip down the south American coastline, going from lighthouse to lighthouse, well, here is one idea..... Bob Frassinetti.
Lighthouses down Argentina
Argentina is a beautiful country. There's something for everyone to do. Buenos Aires, its capital city is located on the shore of one of the world's widest rivers Rio de la Plata- River Plate, an amazing water mirror that sets the city of tango facing the brother country of Uruguay. Throughout the our east coast the Atlantic Ocean runs side by side the outstanding Argentinean shores, filled with history and natural beauty. Admiring this terrific scene I thought of a breathtaking trip that fills the eyes and soul with gorgeous images, smells and sensations. It's a lighthouse tour, following the route of the River Plate through the Atlantic. Jules Verne's Around the world in 80 days has touched me significantly, and therefore I've imagine a tour around the some of the most beautiful lighthouses of that southern Atlantic coastline the Verninan way. However there's no rush in this adventure, for the prize is the trip itself. I've repeated the journey on my mind over and over, and each time I think about it, I'm more exited about the possibility of doing it shortly. I've come up with a list of incredible lighthouses to visit in a very organized way 'cause I'm planning to do it very soon. If you're interested in going through this amazing
journey contact me!

The trip begins in Buenos Aires, the South American Paris as many have agreed to describe. Our first lighthouses are in Buenos Aires, one of which is no longer active but now it's a hotel in which we'll stay: Sofitel. The other the outstanding BA Yacht club's. From BA to Mar del Plata to the amazing Punta Mogotes lighthouse. The nearby natural unspoiled paradise of the Querandí lighthouse is a definite must. History and nature's beauty guide us up north to: the Punta Medanos lighthouse. This cape side area was first discovered by Magallanes in 1520 where an outstanding cylinder French origin lighthouse is waiting for us. Our last stop in the southern Atlantic coastline is at Mar del Tuyu's lighthouse at the36° 34' S, 56° 41' W coordinates featuring one example of the 1980s technique was a perfect real estate business as well as an innovation in architecture.

Back in Buenos Aires, before crossing the River Plate to Uruguay a must stop is at the Martin Garcia Island. The gorgeous Lighthouse located at the 34° 11' S, 58° 15' W coordinates.

Uruguay welcomes us openhearted at Colonia del Sacramento, an outstanding colonial town home to one amazing lighthouse.

Following our adventure to Montevideo, Uruguay's capital city. It's one of South America's oldest lighthouse: built during the Spanish government, in 1801, the Cerro de Montevideo Lighthouse was built on top of the highest hill.

Our next stop is at one of the one of the world's hottest spots: Punta del Este. This is one of the most sophisticated beach destinations in the world.

The Punta del Este lighthouse is just as beautiful as the city that hosts it, for its class and great taste located at the Lat. S Long. W: 34ª58`08``// 54ª57`05`` coordinates A short car ride away from Punta is Jose Ignacio and its brick lighthouse. Located in the Lat. S Long. W: 34ª50`46`` and 54ª37`57`` coordinates. Location to one great lighthouse theme movie: The Lighthouse. Heading up north is the Rocha department, located in the very end of the bay were the east and west side of this pretty village converge, the Cabo Santa María Lighthouse stands out to indicate those in the sea the route to an outstanding getaway resort: La Paloma. Our last stop -not for that least- is Cabo Polonio, the beauty of the seaside area with undulating coasts, sandy shores and rocky paradises and seals islands. This 39.7 meters height tower lights up to 19.5 nautical miles. This very simple building tower is unpainted, except for three white stripes and the red light room nonetheless its beauty is patent. From which the perfect end to a perfect trip is an applause worthy sunset!
