Paris Hilton’s Fender Bender

Video of the minor accident was taken by TMZ.com and aired on television and on the Internet. The video footage shows Hilton’s car surrounded by paparazzi outside the nightclub Element at around 2:30 a.m. Niarchos was behind the wheel of the Hilton’s Bentley, she was in the passenger seat, and it was reported that Talan Torriero of MTV’s Laguna Beach and Kimberly Stewart were in the back. Niarchos was allegedly trying to maneuver around the paparazzi and out of the parking lot when he decided to pull his coat over his head to avoid the paparazzi. He reportedly hit the gas crashing into a truck.

TMZ.com’s Harvey Levin said, "Out of nowhere he just guns it and slams into this commercial truck right in front of him. Then he seemed startled and then kind of gunned it again and came within inches of striking a person, then he gunned it a third time and made a clean getaway." Luckily no one was hurt, but Hilton and Co. left the scene. When the police did finally catch up with them no on was administered a sobriety test, not one was given a ticket, and an incident report was not filed. All this even though it has been reported that on the video Torriero can be heard clearly saying from the backseat, "I’m the only sober one." According to reports, Hilton then blows a kiss to the police and says, "Thank you, officer. We love the police."

According to LAPD Lieutenant Paul Vernon and internal investigation has been launched. Said Vernon, "The department has initiated an administrative investigation to see if the officers violated any procedures or policies." Vernon doesn’t think there was any wrongdoings on the part of the police since no officers witnessed the actual accident, no one has called to complain about the incident, and the video of the accident that was viewed by the police has been edited. Hilton’s rep shrugs it off saying, "It was just a fender bender. Everyone is safe and sound." Yeah, safe and sound…this time.
