Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey : We're Not Splitting
Seems that the rumor mill has been in constant motion surrounding pop super couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey and their marital status.
The latest rumors surrounding the couple is that Lachey cheated on the songstress during a friend's bachelor party last month. The stripper in question, Jessica Jaymes, has said, "I don't think he did anything wrong...it was just a hot, kinky show he watched." She also chatted up Lachey and said, "It was innocent conversation. He said nothing flirtatious." Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are furious about the tabloid reports of his cheating and their impending divorce, and insist their marriage is as strong as ever. Simpson said, "Our relationship is better than its ever been. We are absolutely not breaking up."
Even though they have insisted all is right with them, Simpson and Lachey have appeared less than cozy in public since the rumors surfaced. They have been spotted out a number of different times, but each time it seems that Nick is off talking with friends on one side of the club while Jessica dances with her friends on the other side. Others close to the couple say this has put a strain on their marriage. One pal of Nick's said, "Nick should have known that hanging out with strippers is never a smart thing for a celebrity. But honestly, it was no big deal. They were both having fun, but came back to each other."
Maybe Nick should've taken a cue from Ben Affleck after his disastrous night with strippers. Maybe Jessica is just jealous. Who knows? Nick and Jessica have been fighting the rumor mills since even before they were married. They chose to exploit their relationship on TV and they will have to deal with the outrageous media attention. But come on...just because a couple has a fight or two does not necessarily mean that they are headed for divorce court. They have to at least hold off until after their Christmas special airs.
