Renee’s Weight Obsession

Renee Zellweger has recently given the public a shock with her new goth-like look including a disturbingly thin frame, pale skin, and dark hair.
The normally blonde and healthy looking Zellweger has furiously been trying to shed the extra weight she packed on to play Bridget Jones in the sequel Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Zellweger publicly insisted that she didn’t mind the weight gain, but a source close to the actress said she is "obsessed with her appearance" and says that part of the reason Renee wants to remain so skinny is because of her boyfriend and White Stripes frontman Jack White.

Since filming wrapped on Bridget Jones in February, Zellweger has turned to nutritionists and a trainer. The source said, "When Renee returned to the U.S. after filming Bridget, she was feeling like she was too fat for Jack, so she spent thousands on a nutritionist and a trainer, but she exceeded their programs, cutting her calories lower than suggested." Reportedly, Renee was working out in the mornings and evenings trying to lose the added weight. The source said, "Renee gets very anxious, especially about her looks. I think she has absolutely no self-esteem."

That seems to be the norm for most Hollywood starlets - no self-esteem. And they must be willing to sacrifice to make it to the top and even more to stay on top. Zellweger’s on again off again relationship with White has been a popular topic for the rumor mill. He reportedly couldn’t stand seeing her "fat", even if it was for a prime role. The two recently vacationed together and when asked upon their return whether or not they had a good time, Renee answered sadly, "We tried." Hopefully, her obsession won’t lead her down the same path as Mary-Kate Olsen.
