Britney’s Backstreet Boy

The word around town is that Britney Spears has herself a new play toy and he is blonde and a boy bander who recently ventured out on his own –sound familiar? Nah, it’s not Justin, it’s Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. The two have been seen together on numerous occasions over the past few weeks looking more than chummy. Spears’ spokeswoman, who also represents Carter, denies there is anything going on with the two. But sources say they have met up in Los Angeles and New York. Sources also say that a few weeks ago in L.A. the two had dinner and then went back to Britney’s home where Carter allegedly spent the night.

Since the Timberlake-Spears break-up, both stars have been burning up the gossip pages with their reported romances. Brit has been linked to choreographer Wade Robeson, Crossroads co-star Anson Mount and dancer Brian Friedman. Recently she was spotted hanging out (very closely) with Leonardo DiCaprio at the Playboy mansion. And now the rumored romance with Carter. Timberlake has been off the charts with supposed romances with back-up dancer Jenna Dewan, Christina Aguilara, Janet Jackson and Alicia Keys. Now he has been romantically linked to actress Alyssa Milano…and supposedly things are pretty hot and heavy. Just don’t mention Spears around either one of them. It seems neither Timberlake nor Milano want to hear about Spears or her life.

Still no official word on why Timberlake broke up with Spears, but if you believe the rumors it seems the virginal (and the term is used loosely) Miss Spears apparently was not faithful. On a song called "How When Why" that did not make the cut for his solo album Justified, Timberlake implies infidelity with the line "How when why could you cheat on me." Maybe Brit will have better luck with Justin’s competition.
