Boston Celtics
2000 Record: (36-46), 5th in the Atlantic Division
Player Losses: Adrian Griffin, Bryant Stith, Jerome Moiso
Player Additions: Joe Johnson, Kedrick Brown, Joseph Forte, Roshown McLeod
Projected Starting Five:
Center - Tony Battie (6'11" 240 lbs.)
Forward - Antoine Walker (6'9" 245 lbs.)
Forward - Joe Johnson (6'9" 225 lbs.)
Guard - Paul Pierce (6'7" 225 lbs.)
Guard - Kenny Anderson (6'1" 165 lbs.)
The Celtics will be able to out run most teams with their youth and athleticism. Their three first round picks, Joe Johnson, Kedrick Brown, and Joseph Forte, will be counted on to assist Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker. The Celtics are one of the most improved teams in the league and if they can continue their play from the second half of last season, they should be able to get the last playoff spot.
