Preview -- New Jersey Nets

The New Jersey Nets are a young team that could have a bright future.
New Jersey Nets

2000 Record: (26-56), 6th in Atlantic Division

Player Losses: Stephon Marbury, Kendall Gill, Evan Eschmeyer, Stephen Jackson, Vladimir Stepania

Player Additions: Jason Kidd, Todd MacCulloch, Richard Jefferson, Brandon Armstrong, Jason Collins, Brian Scalabrine

Projected Starting Five:

Center - Todd MacCulloch (7'0" 280 lbs.)
Forward - Kenyon Martin (6'9" 240 lbs.)
Forward - Keith Van Horn (6'10" 245 lbs.)
Guard - Kerry Kittles (6'5" 180 lbs.)
Guard - Jason Kidd (6'4" 210 lbs.)

Jason Kidd brings the ability to make his teammates better, which Stephon Marbury had a hard time doing. After the starting five, this team is filled with very young players and it may take some time for them to be able to contribute consistently. The Nets will win more than the 26 games they won last year, but the playoffs may have to wait till next season.
