Preview -- Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards will be an exciting team with the return of Michael Jordan.
Washington Wizards

2000 record: 19-63, last in Atlantic division

Player Losses: Michael Smith

Player Additions: Michael Jordan, Tyronn Lue, Kwame Brown, Brendan Haywood, Bobby Simmons

Projected starting five:

Center - Jahidi White (6'9" 290 lbs.)
Forward - Christian Laettner (6'10" 245 lbs.) Forward - Michael Jordan (6'6" 215 lbs.)
Guard - Richard Hamilton (6'5" 190 lbs.)
Guard - Tyronn Lue (6'0" 175 lbs.)

The additions of Michael Jordan and new coach Doug Collins will make the Wizards more competitive, but even that may not be enough to get them into the playoffs. Washington will also be counting on young players like Courtney Alexander and Kwame Brown, the number one overall draft pick, to produce. If the young players can play effectively, and Michael Jordan is half of what he used to be, expect the Wizards to win close to 40 games and compete for the final playoff spot.
