Julia Roberts’ Marriage Woes

Roberts and Moder are growing further and further apart according to a source close to the couple. Since the birth of their twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, almost a year ago the couple has been spending a lot of time apart. They plan to live apart and friends are reportedly concerned that this will be the end of their relationship. It has also been rumored that Moder is upset that Roberts "calls the shots at home over everything from careers to kids." Said the source, "There is something wrong and neither wants to talk about it. Danny is distant and Julia wants to be on her own. I think something is definitely amiss."

Roberts has been spending most of her time with the twins at her ranch in Taos, New Mexico while Moder has been residing in Los Angeles. Roberts is set to move to New York while she stars in a Broadway play and Moder will remain in California. According to the source, "Julia and Danny love each other deeply, but the pressures of a new family have pulled them apart. They hope that by spending some time apart they will get their marriage back on track."

This is the second marriage for both. Roberts was married for 21-months to country singer Lyle Lovett before they divorced in 1995. Moder was still married to makeup artist Vera Steinberg when he met Roberts on the set of The Mexican. He left his wife in the summer of 2001 and he and Roberts were married July 4, 2002 in a midnight ceremony at her Taos ranch. The twins were born in November of last year.
