Gwyneth Paltrow’s Baby Watch

Over the weekend, Paltrow was seen walking near her London home wearing a coat and using her purse to cover her stomach. Paltrow’s refusal to confirm the pregnancy rumors has fuelled speculation that she is expecting. Said Paltrow’s spokesman: "We are not confirming anything." Reportedly, when Paltrow’s mom, Blythe Danner, was asked recently if she was looking forward to becoming a grandmother again she said, "Yes, I am." She then tried to cover her tracks by saying, "Well, I think so. I have not checked lately, but I am a very happy grandmother of one."

Paltrow met Martin in 2002 backstage after a Coldplay concert at London’s Wembley Stadium shortly after Paltrow’s father passed away. Paltrow recently credited her husband for saving her from a "joyless life" after losing her father. Paltrow said, "My father was the most important relationship in my life until he passed away. Before I met Chris, I had lost my spark; I had lost my sense of humor. I couldn’t find the joy in things. Now I like my life. I’m in a good place."

Paltrow and Martin were married in a hush-hush wedding in December 2003. Five-months later in May 2004, they welcomed their first child – Apple. "The most euphoria I have ever experienced was having a baby," Paltrow has said. The couple has faced numerous rumors of marital strife since they married. The ultra-private couple has denied all reports of marital unrest. If Paltrow is pregnant, maybe their "problems" will take a backseat in the tabloids…for a little while anyway.
