Matt Damon Back on the Market
Rumor has it that Matt Damon and long-time love Odessa Whitmire have broken-up, for real this time.
Reportedly this time it is official that Matt Damon and his long-time leading lady Odessa Whitmire are done, and he is back on the market. A source close to the couple said, "The two haven't seen each other in forever. Matt has been away filming in Prague, and Odessa is trying to open a clothing store in New York. Matt doesn't even own a place in New York." Other sources claim that money has been an issue for the couple, but those close to the couple blame distance for the break-up. A friend of Damon's said, "Matt has no plans to come home for more than a day in the next six months. He is basically going to be traveling all over Europe until mid-next year."
Damon and Whitmire were introduced by Ben Affleck, Damon’s best friend, while Whitmire was Affleck’s personal assistant. There have been many rumors surrounding their relationship. Reports that the couple was engaged or that they had broken-up – all unfounded. Now it seems that sources close to the couple know that it is officially over for the two.
There have also been reports that Damon has been spending an awful lot of quality time with his Stuck on You co-star Eva Mendes. It was rumored some time ago that he had a crush on Mendes, but his rep vehemently denied that anything was going on between the co-stars. Now the reports are that chemistry on the set has reached a boiling point and that there is a lot more going on between the two. When questioned recently about the rumors, Damon’s rep said "I don’t know."
