Nicky Hilton Annuls

Okay, show of hands…who is surprised by the split? Anyone? The odds have been stacked against the couple since their early morning August 15 nuptials. A few weeks ago it was reported that the couple was on the outs. On October 2, Hilton attended a John Kerry fundraiser sans wedding ring, sparking further rumors of a split. Later at a bar when asked if she was still married, Hilton giggled and held up her ring-less hand and said, "Am I?"

There have been reports of marital strife over the past few weeks, but sources close to the couple call the reports rubbish. "They’re working on an annulment," a source close to Hilton said. The source added, "Nicky and Todd are the best of friends, but she is 21, and it’s just not the right time in her life for her to be married. He lives in New York; she’s in L.A. She loves Todd. It’s just that now is not the right time for her."

Add to the mix an old flame that has seemingly re-entered Hilton’s life. Actor Kevin Connolly of Entourage fame has been hanging around Hilton since the split. As a matter of fact, sources say that she was dating Connolly right up until she married Meister. Hmmm…maybe Nicky and Meister banded together and decided to get married to turn the attention away from Nicky’s sister, Paris. Paris has been in the news, whether favorably or not, daily for what seems like forever. Could it be that a spur of the moment thought turned into an eight-week marriage. Now anyone who knows anything about Paris knows that a late night "I Do" in Vegas isn’t nearly enough to draw the spotlight away from her. If Nicky pulls a Britney and gets married again within the year, then she might have a chance…but probably not.
