Katie Holmes’ Unhappy Parents

Sources say that Katie Holmes’ father Martin is "less than thrilled" that his daughter is carrying a child out of wedlock. When approached about the baby the elder Holmes said, "There will be no comment." Recent photos of Katie’s parents and uncle show that they are not as enthusiastic about the baby as Katie and Tom are. The Holmes family is a very devout Catholic family and reportedly Daddy Holmes scolded Katie when she told him she was pregnant. He then allegedly said to Tom, "You’re no good!"

The first photos of a visibly pregnant Holmes were recently published sparking speculation about just how pregnant she really is. Holmes and Cruise claim Katie is only three months pregnant, but the photos show her sporting a bump that looks to be more like five or six months pregnant. There have been rumors that Holmes conceived via in vitro fertilization, but her aunt Carol Zydorczyk said in an interview, "I can assure you they did it the old fashioned way." Was she there supervising?

A friend of Holmes recently revealed, "From the get-go, Katie’s mom and dad have been wary about the relationship, mainly because of the age difference. Now, just when they’d begun warming up to their future son-in-law, this new bombshell lands in their laps." According to another source, the Holmes’ missed church after finding out about the pregnancy because according to a source, "Having a baby before marriage goes against [the Holmes’] Catholic beliefs." The source said they wanted "to avoid an awkward situation of wondering what to say to the priests."
