Preview - Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets had an unproductive offseason, that was topped off by the signing of Isiah Rider.
Denver Nuggets
2000 Record: (40-42), 6th in Midwest Division
Player Losses: Anthony Goldwire.
Player Additions: Avery Johnson, Omar Cook, Kenny Satterfield, Isiah Rider, Zendon Hamilton, Cedric Ceballos.
Projected Starting Five:
Center - Raef LaFrentz (6'11" 250 lbs.)
Forward - Antonio McDyess (6'9" 240 lbs.)
Forward - James Posey (6'8" 215 lbs.)
Guard - Voshon Lenard (6'4" 205 lbs.)
Guard - Nick Van Exel (6'1" 195 lbs.)
The Nuggets did not add any one in the offseason that will make their team any better. Avery Johson is a solid backup for Nick Van Exel, but he has lost a step. The signing of Isiah Rider could be a distracting situation that this team does not need. Omar Cook and Kenny Satterfield are two young players that could develop into good player, if given the chance. Denver will have another frustrating season that will leave them at the bottom of the Western Conference.
