Tom Cruise Settles Lawsuit

Tom Cruise has dropped his $100 million defamation lawsuit against Kristina Ann Kirstin for reportedly claiming the actor is gay.
The actor claims Kristina defamed him in an interview in which she claimed Cruise had had an affair with her ex-husband, gay porn star Chad Slater. Kristina says she just repeated what her ex had told her. Cruise originally filed the lawsuit against Slater after an interview when Slater alleged his affair with Cruise is what broke up Cruise and Kidman’s marriage. Slater eventually confessed that he had never met the actor and denied ever making remarks to the contrary.

Cruise then turned his vengeance on Kristina after an interview she gave was published stating that her ex-husband claimed to have had an affair with Cruise. In the interview, she said that she had no evidence of an affair ever taking place nor had she ever seen her husband with Cruise. Kristina’s camp argued that she was protected by her right to free speech and had done nothing wrong. The court awarded her approximately $30,000 in court fees. Cruise appealed but the two sides came to an agreement and a supposed quiet settlement. Cruise would drop the lawsuit and Kristina’s camp agreed to "give up their right to collect the legal fees awarded them by the trial court."

It just seems that where there is smoke there is fire. Who cares if Cruise is gay…now I am not saying he is for fear that I may be slapped with a $100 million lawsuit, but maybe if he just let it go it wouldn’t become an issue. In the past when there have been questions about his sexuality, Cruise has reacted by suing everyone involved. Why? If he is or isn’t, people are going to believe what they want. So why bother? And with him suing everyone that even hints that he may be gay, it just seems that maybe he is not that secure with his own sexuality…whatever it may be…
