Kidman-Kravitz Wedding?
Nicole Kidman has been seen sporting a new diamond ring sparking rumors of an engagement to rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Actress Nicole Kidman and rocker Lenny Kravitz have denied any reports of a relationship since the speculation began months ago. The two insist they are "just friends" and nothing more. Kidman was renting Kravitz's New York apartment, but moved out after rumors of their alleged affair got out of hand. Even though both have denied reports of a romance, they have been seen together quite a bit. He visited Kidman on the set of her new film The Stepford Wives; they were spotted hanging out in NYC's West Village at the apartment of celeb photographer Mark Seliger; and she recently arrived on Kravitz's arm at the New York premier of her movie Dogville.
In other Kidman news, it seems she has decided to follow the footsteps of her ex, Tom Cruise. She has recently and successfully sued two tabloid magazines for insinuating that she had an affair with actor Jude Law. In July, Kidman received "an apology and substantial damages" from London's Daily Mail. Tuesday Kidman received an apology and a settlement from the British publishers of tabloid magazine The Sun. An article published in The Sun "hinted" that Kidman was the cause of the break-up of Jude Law's marriage to Sadie Frost. Kidman's lawyer, Keith Schilling claimed, "The publication of the article caused damage to the claimant's personal and professional reputation and she has suffered considerable embarrassments and distress."
Editor Rebekah Wade and journalist Victoria Newton apologized to Kidman, who was not present in court, and admitted the "allegations were false." Kidman will donate all monies collected in damages from both cases to Fara, a "charitable organization that helps Romanian orphans." She said in a statement, "I am glad this has finally been resolved." For anyone thinking of accusing Kidman of anything, keep in mind that it could cost you. She knows how to sue and isn't afraid to do it!
