Thank You Child

A song of thanks to the child…written by Dawn Matley Maselli
Thank you for the sunlight
Thank you for the moonbeams
Thank you for the windows
Into what it all means
Angels turn on headlights
Gasping in intensity
Reflecting in the delight
I can feel the best of me
Eyes fluttering awake
Life leaps strategic length
Hope is the very keepsake
Inspiring human strength
At times we call on Angels
We peer into eternity
One may before us
Singing joyous melodies
Could he be a simple merchant
A provider of deep care
A chorus through a window
An angel's voice is here
To open up the window
To secret joyous places
Sometimes you hear the angel
In windowed modern places
