Simpson & Lachey: Honeymoon Over?

Sources close to the couple say that they are on the verge of a break-up. Simpson has been spotted all over town sans hubby and wedding ring. Just a few weeks ago Simpson was spotted partying without her wedding ring at a L.A. nightclub with two girlfriends and spent approximately 30 minutes alone with Mark Wahlberg. Reportedly, the couple has been fighting increasingly recently over a number of different things. One major issue is her family. Lachey is said to resent how much control her parents, mainly her father, have over the singer. Another source said that Nick is ready to have kids, but Jessica isn't. Another source of tension for the couple is her success. Nick is reportedly so jealous that her career is going so well now and his isn’t that it has caused many fights between the two.

Simpson has reportedly signed a deal for four ABC specials and has won the role of Daisy Duke in the big screen version of The Dukes of Hazzard. Nick has no part of the ABC deals and did not get the part of Bo Duke in the movie. An insider said, "Jess and Nick had made a pact that neither would do the movie if they both didn't get roles. Nick feels Jess is only looking out for herself. He told her 'That's it. I'm movin' out!'" An insider says that the couple is going through a very "rough patch."

As their two-year wedding anniversary approaches, things between the couple get messier each day. The word from their camp is that they are "very happy and very much together," but sources say that they are on the verge of divorce.
