Preview - Indiana Pacers
The Pacers are looking to take big step forward in Isiah Thomas' second year as coach.
Indiana Pacers
2000 Record: (41-41), 4th in Central Division
Player Losses: Sam Perkins, Zan Tabak.
Player Additions: Carlos Rogers, Jamaal Tinsley, Jamison Brewer.
Projected Starting Five:
Center - Jermaine O'Neal (6'11" 240 lbs.)
Forward - Austin Croshere (6'9" 240 lbs.)
Forward - Jalen Rose (6'8" 220 lbs.)
Guard - Reggie Miller (6'7" 195 lbs.)
Guard - Travis Best (5'11" 165 lbs.)
The Pacers are a young, talented team that is not to far from being a real contender in the East. Jermaine O'Neal has grown to become a very good center and Jalen Rose has taken over for Reggie Miller as the go to guy. Austin Croshere will need to rebound from last year's disappointing season and be more of a contributor. Isiah Thomas has done a good job so far, now his next test is to find a way to get Indiana out of the first round of the playoffs.
