Employee Sues Santana Over Spiritual Beliefs
The rock musician Carlos Santana is being sued by his former personal assistant, who alleges he was fired after 16 years for not being spiritual enough.
Bruce Kuhlman says he had failed to attend an appointment with a chiropractor, Dr Dan, to whom Santana's wife, Deborah, sent him to improve "his consciousness or awareness level". Mr Kuhlman, 59, also alleges discrimination on grounds of age, gender and religious belief, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Santana denied the charges, saying that "to work towards world peace, we must have peace in our hearts".
