Unity is the buzzword for Hasina
Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants unity among South Asian nations.
Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called for unity among India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to check the increasing ‘interference of America’ in the internal affairs of the developing nations.
Once India, Pakistan and Bangladesh shed all their differences and come together, they could effectively prevent the US from dictating policies of developing countries," said Hasina.
She said that if the three nations wanted to combat poverty, then they should increase mutual cooperation on economic issues.
She expressed ‘regrets’ that Indo-Bangladesh relations had ‘declined’ since the present Khaleda Zia regime came to power in her country.
The former Prime Minister said she was confident of facing the forthcoming elections in her country and her party would ‘comfortably win’ them.
