Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ Rough Patch?

The source said that the holiday season wasn’t so jolly for Cruise and Holmes. It was reported that Daddy Holmes and Cruise exchanged some harsh words over Tom’s "controlling nature." Apparently, Katie’s father believes that Cruise is exercising too much control over Holmes. Could he possibly be referring to the fact that Holmes has pretty much appeared to be a "Stepford Wife" rather than the bright young starlet that she once was? Maybe the fact that she is ditching her religion for Cruise’s "religion" of choice - Scientology?

The heated "discussion" reportedly left Katie in tears and the couple ended up cutting their stay at her parent’s home short. The Holmes family is a very devout Catholic family and it has been reported in the past that her parent’s have been "less than thrilled" with her and Tom’s relationship. Reportedly her father threw a fit and scolded Katie when she told him she was pregnant and allegedly called Cruise "no good."

Cruise and Holmes have caused quite a stir since first announcing their relationship last April. They have been ridiculed for their ridiculously public displays of emotion and affection. In fact, they have been so over-the-top for one another that many people believe the relationship to be a sham. There was speculation that Holmes had been artificially inseminated and that she has been brainwashed. Holmes’ says she doesn’t care what others think and that Cruise is the "most amazing" man she has ever met. TomKat has had such a crazy nine months that one can only imagine what they will bring to 2006.
