Jude Law Proposes

Actor Jude Law proposed to his actress-girlfriend Sienna Miller on Christmas Day and she accepted.
Law, 32, and Miller, 23, met on the set of the remake of the Sixties film Alfie. Law was going through a bitter break-up with his then wife Sadie Frost. Law has said of Miller, "I just hadn’t seen anything like it. I think she’s extraordinary." Law and Miller initially denied that there was anything romantic between the two, but within weeks of denying the relationship Miller moved into Law’s home and they were officially a couple. The couple’s spokeswoman, Ciara Parkes, confirmed that Law presented Miller with a gold ring with nine diamonds set in platinum on Christmas morning in London. Parkes said, "Both their families and friends are thrilled and of course Jude’s children are, too."

Parkes also said, "No date has been set yet and it is not known whether it will be this year. The date will depend on their filming schedules. They are both very busy at the moment." Although she did state that the couple "hopes to marry as soon as possible." Law and Frost were granted a "quickie" divorce in October 2003 after six years of marriage. The marriage produced three children and was reportedly rocky from the start. The marriage was dissolved on the grounds of Law’s "unreasonable behavior."

It was reported that Law left the duty of telling his ex-wife he was engaged up to his children. He reportedly left Rafferty, eight; Iris, four; and Rudy, two, at Frost’s home without mentioning his engagement. Frost issued a statement congratulating the couple, but it was reported that she was annoyed about the way she found out. A friend close to Frost said, "Sadie isn’t that bothered about the wedding as she knew it was coming, but she’s a bit annoyed Jude didn’t tell her himself." We will see just how long Jude keeps Sienna around before tiring of the blonde bombshell.
