Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards Over

Despite the fact that Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have been trying to salvage their relationship lately, it was announced they are moving forward with the divorce.

On Wednesday, Richards’ mouthpiece announced that she is "moving forward with the divorce proceedings." Both Sheen and Richards’ lawyers asked to have the case removed from Los Angeles Superior Court and handed over to retired commissioner Jill Robbins, a private arbiter. There has been no official comment from Sheen’s camp. The news comes a mere two months after Sheen publicly announced that things were "really good" between the two of them. Not everyone seemed to think so, a friend of the couple reportedly said, "I don’t think this relationship (between Richards and Sheen) is going to work."

Richards originally filed for divorce in March 2005 which was so shocking because she was six months pregnant with the couple’s second child. No reason was given for the sudden split, but there was a lot of speculation. Sheen denies having been unfaithful to his wife and issued a statement saying the allegations were "unconscionable." Sheen did admit during an interview that he was a "gigantic ass" and that may have been the primary reason for the split.

Sheen was in the delivery room when Richards gave birth to their second daughter, Lola. They also have a daughter, Sam, who will be two in March. Since Lola’s birth Sheen and Richards seemed to have been getting along and working towards a reconciliation. She was seen sporting some major bling on her left ring finger and reportedly said it was "a recent gift from Charlie." Guess things weren’t going as well as Sheen had hoped.
