Nicole & Tom Reunite
Divorced couple Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise put aside their bitter break-up and reunited at the Golden Globes.
Kidman and Cruise, who divorced in 2001, bumped into each other at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles at Sunday night’s Golden Globes and decided to meet up after the ceremony to talk and catch up. They later met up at the Mirimax Film after party at Trader Vic’s bar in West Hollywood and onlookers said that any bad blood between them was a thing of the past. Sources say that they did not arrive together, but once they were inside they sequestered themselves at a table and spent the evening chatting and laughing.
The couple had a bitter split after their almost ten-year union came to a screeching halt. No official word on why they split, but there was much speculation that Kidman had cheated on Cruise. He said at the time, "Nic knows why this is happening." The divorce turned bitter as they argued over their children and their assets. A source that witnessed their reunion Sunday night said, "A lot has happened since they split and the truth is they get on really well. They see anything that happened between them as water under the bridge. They have loads in common and still love each other."
Since the split, Kidman has blossomed in the public eye. She has been romantically linked to actor Adrien Brody and most recently split from rocker Lenny Kravitz. It seems her split from Cruise did wonders for her career. Cruise has been dating actress Penelope Cruz since the summer of 2001. Cruz was absent at Sunday night’s award show and Tom arrived on the arm of his mother, Mary Lee. If things don’t work out between Tom and Penelope, maybe there is a chance at a second go round for Tom and Nic.
