Scott Weiland Rehab Bound...Again

Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland was recently ordered back into a detox facility after skipping out on treatments early.
Rocker Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots fame was ordered back into a detox facility in California after the court found out he had left the treatment program early. In August, the troubled rocker pleaded no contest to a heroin possession and was ordered to check into a live-in rehabilitation facility to be followed by a six-month residential program. Prosecutors found out Friday that Weiland checked out early - in October. No word yet if he checked out of on his own accord or if it was with the doctors consent. Regardless, this violated the terms of his deal. A Los Angeles judge ordered him back to the rehab facility.

Apparently, the STP frontman checked back in to the facility on Sunday. He will be eligible for release in July, but will have to enroll in six months of aftercare upon his release. According to District Attorney spokesman Jane Robison, if Weiland skips put early again or tests positive for drugs a warrant for his arrest will be issued.

This is not the only trouble that the troubled singer has faced. He was arrested in 1995 for cocaine and heroin possession, an arrest that led to his ejection from STP. He was later allowed to rejoin the band, which is currently on permanent hiatus. He was also arrested in 1998 for trying to buy heroin off an undercover cop and was locked up after almost OD'ing on he3roin - a violation of his probation and not completing the ordered rehabilitation. This latest fiasco could destroy his latest musical pursuit. He has been the frontman for the band Velvet Revolver, featuring ex-Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matte Sorum along with Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Dave Kushner. Whatever the case, Weiland needs to get his life in order. Give up the drugs or die, dude!
