WRESTLING: WWF Royal Rumble Thoughts

Ivory vs. Chyna - Women's Championship - I didn't like the way the WWF played out Chyna's injury. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross played it out as if someone had died, and anyone watching who didn't know that Chyna's injury was fake, could've taken the injury quite seriously. As for the 'match', what can I say? Rating: 5/10

Edge & Christian vs. Dudley Boyz - Tag Team Championship - This was a good match, with Edge and Christian finally losing the tag team championships. The Dudleyz did deserve the titles, and I do think that they will have a good reign as champions. Rating: 7/10

Intercontinental Championship - Ladder Match - Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho - This was the best match I have seen for some time. What great wrestlers these two are - they have amazing chemistry with each other, and that's why their matches are so entertaining. Great to see Jericho get a run at Intercontinental Champion as well - I hope we see these two competitors facing each other again. Rating: 9½/10

Kurt Angle (with Trish) vs. Triple H (with Stephanie) - World Wrestling Federation Championship - I like the heat HHH gets, which is good and bad cheers - which I something I always like (controversial). This was a nice match, but again Kurt got the win from the left over's. It's every time, and although this is how the WWF want to portray Kurt, I don't like it one bit. Why not do this angle around the European Title instead of the serious WWF Title, which always ends in a screw job? Hopefully he is not present in the main event at WrestleMania, same goes for HHH - I want to leave the main event at WrestleMania for The Rock and Stone Cold. (Although at the moment, it looks like a HHH vs. Austin main event, but trust me, things will change) Rating: 8/10

Royal Rumble Match - This was a good rumble, but I just felt it was too 'hardcore'. I don't know - maybe I'm just being old fashioned. The entries of Drew Carey and the Honky Tonk Man was hilarious. Some nice bits in this Royal Rumble, which a few surprises, especially from Haku (formerly Meng of WCW). Nice to see Austin get the win, which secures his presence in the main event at WrestleMania. Only 1 question remains - who will he face? Rating: 8/10

Well I enjoyed the Royal Rumble PPV, and deserves an above-average rating. The road to WrestleMania X-Seven starts here... Overall PPV Rating: 7½/10
