I Do Not Demand That You Send Me Roses

A simple woman's wishes...
I do not demand that you send me roses
Left without meaning, they tear apart and die
I do not demand that you send me chocolates
If not with good memories, they are bitter, they lie

I do not wish for sweet tender moments
In a garden full of charms
Where a warm-hearted prince appears
And swoops me up in his arms

I love you and if you feel the same, say so
Do not feel obliged to reach the stars.
I do not demand that you propose
And catch the moon, while in the end change mind

I am a simple woman with simple wishes
My story is not a fairy tale, but one that's real
Like any other woman, I have dreams too
But with love I let things happen, I do not ask for more

I only have one demand, and that is honesty
In the same way as I am true to you
And if that you cannot give, tell me so
I'd rather be alone than have you with your lies
