Mariah Carey & Vin Diesel’s Romance

Despite word from both camps that there is no romantic relationship, sources say that the romance between Carey and Diesel has been kicked into overdrive. The two reportedly had discussed doing a movie together (because Mariah should be acting) and began talking in the hopes of working together. It seems their long phone conversations led them down a path of love. The two realized how much they had in common and decided to take things a bit further.

With very similar backgrounds – both from multi-racial families, both from New York, both demanding performers – they clicked instantly over the phone and tried to set up a time to get together for a "real date." With both being so busy they were unable to make a date, but over the recent holidays they were both in Aspen. The two had dinner and sources say they left the restaurant looking very cozy with one another. The next day they skied and cuddled. A source close to Carey said she is smitten with the charming Diesel.

Most recently, Carey has struggled to regain her diva status. She suffered an emotional breakdown, which was well publicized in the tabloids, as was the $30 million buy-out of her $80 million contract by Virgin Records. Her acting debut in Glitter was disastrous as were her reported romances with Luis Miguel and Eminem (no one could figure that one out). It looks as if this year may be looking up for Mariah…her new album Charmbracelet seems to be doing well and now that Diesel has rejuvenated her love life who knows what lies ahead for the songstress.
