Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston Still Together

It was reported earlier this week that Brown was over heard telling friends that he was planning on divorcing Houston and was spotted earlier this month surrounded by a bevy of beauties backstage at Connecticut’s Foxwoods Casino. On Thursday, Brown was quoted as saying, "The rumors are wrong. They’re false." When asked how the rumor started Brown said, "I really couldn’t tell you. They say I said something about it, but I joke a lot…I don’t think I said it, but if I did it was a joke. Trust me…It’s someone that got the words mixed up."

Brown, 36, and Houston, 42, have been married for 13 years and have a 12-year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Brown also said this week that the rumors had upset Houston and he said, "Oh, she called me! She’s calling me on a regular basis like, ‘Bobby! Did you say this? Did you say that?’" Brown maintains that he did not say anything about divorcing his wife and says she is the "better half" of him. He said, "They say opposites attract, but we’re not opposites. We’re one person. We’re loving life, and we’re just trying to be as good to each other as possible. And we’re moving on."

The marriage has been tumultuous, to say the least, with rumors of physical abuse, his arrests, charges of infidelity, and both of their battles with drugs and alcohol. But Brown believes that their love is strong enough to keep them together. He reportedly said, "What’s important to us is that we love each other. It doesn’t matter what people say. They want to try and break us down anyway. That’s not for us. We’re here, and we’re gonna be together for a long time, so people can expect us to stay together. I’m with my wife for the duration – and that’s life."
